Lisa Hahn, president of Caugherty Hahn Communications, Inc. (CHC), is an expert in public relations and corporate communications. A 28-year public relations veteran, Hahn counsels businesses on effective communications strategy. She launched CHC in 1993.
CHC's areas of expertise center on corporate communications, community relations, media relations and crisis communications. The agency's clients have included large privately held corporations to non-profit organizations including Highlights for Children, Inc., DineWise.com, Canada Life Assurance Company, Foster & Gallagher, Schindler Elevator Corporation, The Valley Hospital, The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, The Shops at Riverside, Lila Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund, Omaha Steaks, and Luggage & Leather Goods Manufacturers of America.

Hahn’s 20-years experience with multi-channel merchants began when she served as public relations director for The Direct Marketing Association. Hahn handled major issues facing the industry including privacy, postal, environmental, telemarketing and image. She also launched the catalog-shopping story for the industry. As spokesperson for the 3,600+-member association, Hahn was regularly interviewed on network and cable news, radio, magazines and newspapers from coast-to-coast.
Hahn handled national and international PR campaigns at two top international PR agencies – Carl Byoir and Associates and Doremus Porter Novelli – and began her public relations career at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City where she worked with national and international news media to promote the museum’s 50th anniversary and exhibitions.
Hahn provides pro bono public relations support to the New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA), works on the NEMOA Outreach Committee and other membership campaign efforts. She writes frequently for Multichannel Merchant and other trade publications, and is a frequent speaker at business conferences.
She is a member of the prestigious Counselors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), NEMOA, and New Jersey Business & Industry Association. She has been an adjunct professor of public relations at Ramapo College of New Jersey, which is ranked number one among regional public comprehensive colleges.
A supporter of numerous nonprofit organizations, Hahn has served as public relations director for Habitat for Humanity, Paterson, N.J., West Bergen Mental Healthcare, and Creative Living Counseling Center. Hahn is a member of Women in Community Service, and a proud leader of a Girl Scout Cadette troop where she helps young girls develop into conscientious citizens. She is the immediate past secretary of the Board of Trustees of West Side Presbyterian Church, and served on the church's Rebuilding Steering Committee, and is an ordained Elder.
A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a B.A. in fine arts, Hahn also attended the American University of Cairo, Egypt, where she was the university's first arts instructor.
