Omaha Steaks Sizzled With CHC

omaha steaksCHC was retained to step in and assist this leading gourmet foods direct marketer during the critical fourth quarter upon the unexpected death of the company's PR manager. CHC secured last-minute holiday story placements and continued to position the company among editors and producers nationwide during the first half of 1997.

In addition to the proactive media relations campaign, CHC created an Omaha Steaks Taste Test campaign to expand brand awareness among food and lifestyle magazine editors. The campaign resulted in a large selection of national and regional magazines reviewing product, including Bon Appetit, Redbook, Southern Living, and Metropolitan Home to name a few.

A multi-city media tour to promote Fred Simon's cookbook, The Steaklover's Companion, was launched by CHC. Print and broadcast interviews were secured, as well as book signing events at bookstores and Williams-Sonoma stores in the targeted tour cities.

The challenge was to highlight The Steaklover's Companion in a crowded field of new introductions.
