Highlights High Five Case Study

On the heels of the highly successful campaign to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary and printing and delivery of its one-billionth copy in 2006, Caugherty Hahn Communications was tasked with communicating the new magazine’s publication to editors nationwide.
A comprehensive press kit and image library were developed and distributed to media, and stories have appeared in parent papers, daily newspapers, and lifestyle articles have been posted on print and broadcast Web sites, and now appearing in blogger’s posts.
Parents, grandparents and caregivers have embraced the new magazine, seeing Highlights High Five as a fun publication that helps set young children firmly on the path to becoming curious, creative, caring, and confident individuals.
“We believe that children are the world’s most important people. Creating a publication that celebrates early childhood while encouraging children to develop a love of reading and become lifelong learners fits perfectly with the mission of our company—to help children become their best selves.”
-- Kent S. Johnson, CEO of Highlights for Children, Inc.
